Supplemental Day Trip – Sunday (additional cost)

On Sunday, August 31, 2025, a daytime excursion will involve taking a charter bus from the Wedgewood Resort (8 AM prompt departure) to Denali National Park. Attendees will be let off in the welcome area of the park, where they can visit the Visitor Center, get lunch, and explore local trails and wildlife. The park visit cannot include a tour into the park due to time and schedule restrictions, so instead, attendees will have approximately 4 hours to spend how they choose within the welcome area of the park.

The total cost of this tour will be $75, which will only cover the cost of transportation, some snacks, and a water bottle. We have done our best to keep the trip cost low, but attendees will be expected to pay for the park entrance fee ($15) and their own lunches (restaurants in the Denali welcome area).

Supplemental Tours – Tuesday (cost included in AAIC Conference Registration)

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, anyone who has paid for full AAIC Conference Registration will be invited to join on an excursion within Fairbanks to the Permafrost Tunnel Tour (U.S. Army Corps of Engineer) and the Museum of the North (University of Alaska). We will depart the Wedgewood Resort after lunch, promptly at 1 PM, and will return to the hotel by 6 PM that evening. Some small snacks will be provided.
